Here are a few remarkable children whose lives you are touching:
Meet Kakumba Abdul, a 17-year-old from Lukubo village in Buikwe district. Abdul has faced more hardships than most teenagers should ever have to. At the tender age of 11, he lost both his parents to HIV/AIDS. From that point on, Abdul became the primary provider for himself and his elderly grandmother. He found ways to make ends meet by burning and selling charcoal, selling maize, and even fixing small electric gadgets—anything to keep going and pay for his education.
Despite these overwhelming challenges, Abdul never gave up on his dreams. He was struggling to pay for his own education by the time Ajabu stepped in. However, through your support and help, some of his burdens have been eased. Now, Abdul can concentrate more on his schoolwork, knowing that he has the support he needs to keep moving toward his goal of becoming a mechanical engineer.
Kirabo Halima, a bright and determined 15-year-old, comes from Lugala village in Buikwe district. Raised by her father, a hardworking fisherman, after her parents’ separation when she was just two years old, Halima’s life has been far from easy. Adding to her challenges, Halima suffers from asthma, which complicates her daily life.
Halima’s journey is one of support and transformation. Thanks to your contributions, she now receives essential medical care from the Ajabu Medical Center, which helps her manage her asthma effectively. This support allows her health condition to be closely monitored and treated, enabling her to concentrate on her education without the constant concern of her illness.
Despite these challenges, Halima excels in her studies and is known for her intelligence, discipline, and dedication. She dreams of becoming a midwife one day to help others in need. With your generous support, Halima can overcome both financial and health challenges, allowing her to focus on her studies and work towards her dream.
