At Ajabu Children's Foundation, we remain committed to creating lasting change through education, and thanks to our partners support, the first half of this year has been full of growth and progress.
The School Visit and Progress monitoring
Every school term, our team visits the partnering school, firstly to make the school fees payments for the sponsored children, deliver school materials and also check on the school project progress in general.
At the end of July, Program Coordinator, Emmanuel spent three days visiting our partnering school . This being his second visit this year. It was not just a regular visit, but also an opportunity to see how your support is changing lives.
He reviewed school reports of all the Ajabu sponsored children currently enrolled in the school. Teachers shared their academic updates, behavior records and areas where some children might need additional support. We are happy to share that most of the children are doing well, both in their studies and how they relate to others.
Reconnecting with the Children
One of the best parts of the visits is always talking with the children. Their smiles, stories and dreams remind us why we do this work. It is evident that the opportunity to access consistent education, school meals and learning materials has given these children motivation to push ahead.
Engaging with Teachers and Parents
Our Coordinator, Emmanuel also held interactive meetings with teachers and parents, reinforcing our collective responsibility in shaping the children's futures. The teachers thanked Ajabu for the support which not only helps with school fees but also improves class performance by reducing absenteeism. Some parents traveled from far voiced their gratitude and shared how the sponsorship for their children has brought hope to their families.
Looking Ahead: Primary Leaving Exams (P.L.E) 2025
Just like last year, we are happy to share that some of our sponsored children are preparing for their Primary Leaving Exams. These children are proof of your belief in their potential and future. During the visit, the 3 candidates were sitting for the Mock exams usually set by the Ugandan government, this shows that the children are fully registered and we can track their progress. With your continued support, we are confident that they will succeed and make the next step in their academic journey.
A Note of Thanks
This progress would not be possible without your encouragement and partnership. Every good grade, every happy smile and every hopeful parent is a result of your generosity.
Thank you for walking alongside Ajabu.
As we move into this second half of the year, we look forward to sharing a detailed School Project progress report, new videos and children's stories with our partners.
